Chief Superintendent’s Christmas Message

We have nearly completed the first half of the 2020-2021 school year! On behalf of everyone at CCSD, thank you for your hard work and commitment to safety. We understand the trying times and truly appreciate the uncertainties you have overcome.

We know some of our traditions and the way we celebrate Advent this season will be different as we continue to adapt to help keep our communities safe. While change can be a challenge, and it can certainly test us, remember to focus on the meaning of the season and prepare your heart for the coming of Jesus. “The angel of the Lord said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.’” (Luke 2:10-11). Welcome Him into your life, and into your heart.

There is a hustle to Christmas, a busyness that can overshadow the welcoming of Christ. Try to find time to step away from the holiday rush and embrace the holiday spirit. Fill yourself with His goodness, with His hope and joy, peace and love. Share His blessings and teach His name. Take a moment to reflect on how you can bring Christ beyond Christmas and humbly serve Him every day.

From our CCSD family to you and yours, have a joyous and restful Christmas season. We are excited to continue to grow with you in faith, hope and love in the new calendar year.

Merry Christmas and peaceful blessings!
